Scott was raised on the Geary Brother’s Ranch in Helmville, Montana where she rode horses, herded cows and raked hay.
She has trained multiple world champion horses in many disciplines and currently cares for twenty-five horses.
During her free time, Suzanne frequently judges horse shows both at a national and international level.
After graduating from Salmon High School, she attended U of I and obtained a B. She also started and coached the Girls’ Basketball Team for Leadore High.
She earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Montana State University in 1982 and in 1984 returned to Brigham Young University to obtain her Masters of Nursing Science.
Suzanne continued her training at Graceland College and received a Post Masters Certificate in Nursing.
While at MSU-Bozeman Katie was very active in the Equine Program, taking and assisting with classes, as well as showing on the IHSA show team.
After graduation, she and her husband Jeff managed two different equine facilities and coached the MSU IHSA show team, as well as gave lessons, raised and trained horses, and operated a 4-H club for disadvantaged youth.
